what The Craft Clash is all about.

The Craft Clash is a live cocktail competition organized by The Craft Collective. It usually takes place at the end of every month in Maribor. Each edition brings 4 to 6 local and/or international bartenders behind one bar, all ready to take on the challenge of a battle in a real bar scenario.

Unlike traditional cocktail competitions, often closed to the public and judged by industry experts over a few carefully prepared drinks, The Craft Clash does things differently. Bartenders compete in one-hour rounds, serving their signature cocktails directly to bar guests, just as they would during a real service.

Here, the crowd is the jury. Guests taste the cocktails, feel the energy behind the bar, and vote for the bartender, and the drink, that delivered the best overall experience. It’s honest, dynamic, and grounded in what bartending is truly about: great drinks, real people, and genuine hospitality.

The Craft Clash gives deserved spotlight to the bartenders and at the same time brings something different to Maribor. A night of exclusive cocktails, good music, and atmosphere, where guests can experience the energy and creativity of the local and international bar scene in a relaxed, social setting.

The idea of The Craft Clash was inspired by a beloved event at Café Klandestino in Portugal, one of the country's top cocktail bars, where one of our founders had the unforgettable experience of participating. Those evenings brought together friends, bartenders, and guests in a lively, welcoming atmosphere where everyone could connect, share, and be inspired.

With The Craft Clash, we want to bring that same spirit to Maribor. A place where you can meet talented bartenders from around the world, taste their unique drinks and ideas, and celebrate what they all love doing most.

This isn’t really a competition. It’s a meeting point. A moment to connect, discover new flavours, and enjoy the craft with people who share curiosity, passion, or both, for great drinks.
